Introductory Phase:

Yuvraj Singh has always saved the game for India when defeat looked almost certain. He has been a match winner in many games. Being included in the current Indian squad that is touring England, he is expected to play his key role in the matches. He is expected to perform well in the series especially after the much needed rest he got during the recently concluded West Indies tour. 

His Experience With Indian Team:

Being an all rounder, Yuvraj Singh is a key player in Indian team. He has shown prowess in all departments be it balling, batting, or fielding. Nobody can forget the six sixes he scored in an over against the English bowler Stuart Broad.  As far as bowling his concerned, he is an important left arm spin bowler who can easily trick the batsmen into getting out. Being young and athletic he can dive to full length to stop boundaries and take catches. Yuvraj is an absolute delight to watch on the field. His most preferred fielding position is Silly Mid-On and Silly Mid-Off where he has taken few of the toughest catches.

Yuvraj has not played much cricket after his superb performance in the World Cup that won him the Man of the Series. He has just gotten up from his sickness but seems to be fit and fine. His present fitness level is up to the mark. Only thing that may be of concern is that he been out of touch for a while. But enough practice on the net can easily get him going to play his natural game.

Yuvraj’s past records has been good. His average in ODIs stands at 37.62 but he has a high scoring rate of 87.58. Having played around 274 matches he is now a seasoned player of ODI format. He has played many crucial knocks against England. His 138 off 78 balls in the Rajkot ODI in 2007 has been the highlight of his innings against the English Team. His test match records are also fine. He has scored at the average of 35.63 with a scoring rate of 58.91. Yuvraj’s batting style makes him an important player especially in the ODI format.
